About the event

Nau mai, haere mai to the second community tree planting of the Matariki season! ✨

🦎 This is a special Uru Harakeke planting, meaning intentional planting of different varieties of beautiful harakeke to establish a site for local raranga weavers to cherish and utilise.

🌱 We will also be planting other varieties of native species to support the existing reserve. Bring your whānau, friends or neighbours and connect to the local environment.

📍 Entrance to the reserve is between 46 & 48 Egremont Street, Belmont. Look out for the RTH flag & a group of enthusiastic volunteers! 😁

🍪 You are warmly invited for a nourishing lunch at the local marae following the planting, and we encourage bringing a plate of kai to share.

🌱🪏 Dress responsibly with closed-toe shoes and warm clothing! If you have gloves or a spade, feel free to bring them along - RTH can provide…
