About the event
Dimitri is a Senior Marine Biosecurity Advisor for Auckland Council. He will explain the purpose of marine biosecurity, how the marine biosecurity system works in NZ, from MPI border security, at our regional level (AC) and then at the boatie level. He will describe the marine pest species targeted, the legislation used, provide updates on the Caulerpa situation, the hull surveillance system, hull cleaning and tidal grid use, and there will be time for general discussion.
