Love your Maunga

We are co-hosting this event with our friends and partners Tūpuna Maunga Authority. This fun and informative event will be located adjacent to the lower parking lot. Please plan to come along to help or chat and spread the word to neighbours of the maunga.

About the event
Building on nine years of volunteer efforts on Maungauika, we hope to bring back the birds and other wildlife to Maungauika ("Ngā Manu o Maungauika") in partnership with Mana Whenua and Auckland Council!
Here’s what’s happening:
* Grab a free rat trap and learn how to use it
*Test your knowledge with our maunga (mountains), manu (birds), and rākau (trees/plants) boards
*Have a kōrero with the Tūpuna Maunga Authority kaimahi and Restoring Takarunga Hauraki team
*Grab a bite with us—light refreshments will be provided!
